The first shipment of 4 Konecranes Noell Rubber Tired Gantry Cranes (RTGs) from the Konecranes Xiamen factory are en route to MITT Terminal, part of Hutchison Port Holdings (HPH) at Yangon, Myanmar. The cranes will be put into operation in May 2017.

The lifting capacity of the 4 Konecranes Noell RTGs is 40.6 tons under spreader, while stacking 1-over-6 containers high and six plus truck lane wide, the crane span is 23.47 meters. The cranes will be equipped with a lithium cell hybrid system for power supply, which will dramatically reduce fuel consumption as well as exhaust emissions and noise at the customer’s terminal.

Konecranes has successfully supplied more than 50 units of Konecranes Noell RTGs and STSs to HPH’s terminals in the Americas, the Middle East and Asia.
