Shanghai, China (December 21, 2016) Crown, one of the world’s largest material handling companies, showcased its advanced lift truck technologies at CeMat Asia 2016, with live demonstrations that emphasized the integrated approach to providing customer productivity benefits.
Advanced technology solutions including QuickPick® Remote (QPR), for low-level order picking, Auto Positioning System (APS) for very narrow-aisle lift trucks and Crown’s proven InfoLink® wireless operator and fleet management solution highlighted the benefits of connecting lift trucks, operators and facilities to improve productivity and overall business results.
QuickPick Remote, enabling remote operation for low-level order picking applications, reduces operator steps by up to 50% and on/off motions by up to 75%, which gives the operator more control over tasks that boost productivity and lower operating costs. Customers report that they are able to save up to five seconds per pick, bringing a higher level of efficiency to the picking process.
Crown’s Auto Positioning System, available on the TSP turret lift truck, leverages radio frequency identification (RFID) technology to enhance safety and productivity. The system automates travel and lift functions for the most efficient path between the forklift and its destinations.
InfoLink, the wireless operator and fleet management solution, provides improved safety and operator compliance, and higher productivity, while lowering costs and optimizing fleet operations. Available for both Crown and non-Crown lift trucks, InfoLink has reduced impacts by up to 80% and improved fleet management by over 12%, providing measurable return on investments.
As part of Crown’s leading technology initiatives, York Yang, Crown Marketing Product Manager, delivered a keynote speech on Logistics & ICT Seminar with topic on “Lean Production and Intelligent Logistics”, introducing how Crown products help users to achieve lean production with a lower investment.
CeMat Asia 2016 is the largest intralogistics trade show in East Asia, drawing more than 78,000 visitors and 500 exhibitors from around the world. The show is held annually at the Shanghai New International Exhibition Center.
