Perkins returns to Middle East Electricity (MEE) in 2017 to promote the quality, reliability and durability that have carried its diesel and gas engines to a market-leading position in electrical power (EP).

The show, which runs from February 14-16 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, is an important global exhibition for the sector, attracting businesses and visitors from the Middle East as well as Europe, Africa and Asia. In 2017 Perkins will also be supporting the show as technology sponsor.

The Perkins team and representatives of our appointed distributor Power Systems Gulf (PSG) will be promoting the full range of Perkins diesel and gas electric power engines. Taking pride of place is the 4000 Series platform, which is designed to provide prime or standby power in critical applications.

A major feature of the Perkins presence will be a 4012-46TWG2 installed in a 20ft container. This 1MW mobile unit will be on display outside the main exhibition hall where visitors can observe it running at set times during the show.

Reinforcing the Perkins offer
Other engines on display on the Perkins stand include a 403A-11G, 1106A-70TAG and 2506A-E15TAG. Trevor Toulson, director of EAME & CIS sales and distribution, who also leads Perkins EP Strategy, said the 400 Series will “reinforce the Perkins offer for the growing regional telecoms market”.

A 404D-22 replacement engine will also be shown, to introduce our new replacement engines programme to this important market. The programme offers competitive pricing and better availability with a comprehensive range of remanufactured and replacement engine solutions.

Trevor expects Perkins engines to once again be visible throughout the show halls on the stands of Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) powering applications including primary and secondary power units, generator sets, lighting units and others.

Promoting the benefits
Perkins will be promoting the benefits of using Perkins diesel engine oil, which is specially formulated for optimum engine performance and longevity; Perkins Platinum Protection (PPP) which gives end users the opportunity to extend their standard warranty from two to 10 years; and EP service kits which provide end users with all the genuine parts they need to carry out 500 hour and 1,000 hour services for most standard EP engines.

“We enjoy a strong position in the regional EP market thanks to the loyalty of our customers, the strength of our brand and the excellent support network provided by our global distributors. We’ve been exhibiting at MEE for many years as it’s an excellent forum for meeting OEMs and end users, finding out about their challenges and offering them the right power solutions.”
