The Material Handling Education Foundation, Inc. (MHEFI) is pleased to announce the appointment of three new members to the Board of Directors. Beginning January 1, 2017, Alan Amling of UPS, Eric Sobanski of The Brinks Company, and Rick Fox of FOX IV Technologies will join the MHEFI board and begin their terms.
Alan Amling is VP UPS Corporate Strategy and leads the company’s Global On-Demand Manufacturing initiative. He moved in to this role after serving as VP Marketing for UPS Logistics & Distribution. Amling has held numerous leadership roles in new product development, e-commerce and long-range planning. Amling is TED speaker and a native of Grants Pass, Oregon.
Rick Fox is President and CEO of FOX IV Technologies, Inc. a manufacturer and integrator of automated identification and labeling systems. Fox serves as Chair of the Order Fulfillment Solutions Council, is a member of the College Industry Council on Material Handling Education, and a member of the MHI Roundtable.
Eric Sobanski is a Vice President for the Brink’s Company responsible for Operational Excellence and holds a PhD in Industrial Engineering. His primary responsibilities include the development and implementation of strategic initiatives, customer implementations and strategic products. He also teaches several graduate courses for Oklahoma State University through its distance learning program. Sobanski is also a co-founder with his wife of a charity, Delivering Hope, based in Michigan focused on helping local children with food, reading, and school supplies.
The Material Handling Education Foundation, Inc.
MHEFI is an independent, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to encouraging and supporting material handling education. Established in 1976, the Foundation has provided funds, though private and corporate donations, to graduate and undergraduate students, as well as to academicians and their institutions.
About MHI
MHI is an international trade association that has represented the industry since 1945. MHI members include material handling, logistics and supply chain equipment and systems manufacturers, integrators, consultants, publishers, and third party logistics providers. Much of the work of the industry is done within its product- and solution- specific groups. The association also sponsors trade events, such as ProMat and MODEX to showcase the products and services of its member companies and to educate industry professionals on the productivity solutions provided through material handling and logistics.
