Dongfeng Iseki recently launched two new powerful tractor models into the Chinese agricultural market. The company’s T804 and T954 tractors, which have been positively received by end users, are powered by Perkins® 1104D-44T™ and deliver an impressive 60.5 kW and 72.5 kW, respectively.

A joint venture, Dongfeng Iseki was established in August 2011 by DongFeng Auto Group, one of the largest state owned automobile companies and Iseki, a Japanese agricultural machinery producer. Iseki, which was founded in 1926, is a highly respected agricultural machinery producer, and has worked with Perkins for more than 20 years, installing the Perkins 1100 and 1200 Series engines in its range of agricultural tractors.

Given the existing partnership, Perkins engines were selected for Dongfeng Iseki’s new tractors. The mechanical 1104D-44T™ meets China Non-Road Stage III and was chosen for its powerful performance, reliability and durability, as well as its cost effective owning and operating costs.Dongfeng Iseki's new tractor on display

Designed and built at Perkins Wuxi facility, the 1104D-44T™ has been engineered to specifically combat the problems of varying fuel quality. An upgraded fuel system increases tolerance to poor quality diesel, supported by improved filtration to capture any debris present.“Perkins is honoured to have been selected by Dongfeng Iseki to power its latest tractors. We have a longstanding, successful relationship with Iseki in Japan, so were delighted to work with Dongfeng Iseki, to integrate our latest mechanical engines into their machines. Last year we supported their presence at the leading exhibition for the agricultural sector, the China International Agricultural Machinery Exhibition (CIAME), and in 2016 we’re continuing to work together to ensure Chinese end users understand the benefits of these new tractors, from reduced fuel costs to ease of maintenance.”
