Narrow Aisle Ltd at IMHX 2016

Stand 12 U84

The Flexi AC range of articulated forklift trucks slows Flexi Warehouse Systems to create innovative and cost effective solutions, maximize pallet storage density, more efficient handling and efficient customer order assembly efficiency in ‘e’ fulfillment, manufacturing and warehousing logistics environments.

The company designs, manufactures and supplies the Flexi AC range of warehouse truck based solutions in capacities from 1.3 to 3.0 tonnes and with lift heights of between 3.0 and 15.0 metres and the trucks can operate in aisleways as narrow 1.6 metres.

The flagship in the range, the Flexi AC 1000 electric powered articulated forklift truck, is the most popular articulated warehouse truck in Europe and at this year’s IMHX (NEC, Birmingham, September 13-16) the company will demonstrate the benefits of its Flexi AC range by making all the products ‘come alive’ on its stand (12 U84).

Narrow Aisle has a number of new and innovative solutions to release at the show.

These include the Flexi AC StorMAX, an advanced intralogistics concept that combines very narrow aisle operation with the ability to store two pallets deep up to 11 meters high which, when used in conjunction with Warehouse Management System (WMS) technology, can service over twice the number of pallet locations than a traditional reach truck-centred storage cube layout.

Also new for 2016 is the Flexi AC VNA, an articulated forklift solution that operates safely in the smallest very narrow aisles up to 10 metres and due to its unique narrow chassis design offers the fastest throughput speeds in the industry with no requirement for costly steel rail or inductive wire guidance systems.

In addition, visitors to the Narrow Aisle Flexi stand will be able to assess the FlexiPiCK, a layer quantity, case picking order assembly solution that has been designed to eliminate manual case picking and provides pick rates of 1200 cases per hour per man. The concept was developed by Flexi Warehouse Systems in the USA, this new mechanized case picking approach is coming to the UK FMCG supply chain.

The Flexi NANO, a low cost VNA machine aimed at the out of town retail sector, which is easy to drive and offers versatile easy to drive truck performance at a competitive cost, will also be highlighted.

The system design and delivery capabilities of the company’s Flexi Warehouse Systems Division will also feature prominently at the show. Customers are invited to bring along their warehouse dimensions and parameters and obtain a set of storage solutions free of charge.

With many years’ industry experience to call on, the Flexi Warehouse Systems Division works closely with clients to develop projects by carefully considering all the elements that influence the efficiency of the operation and the future payback potential of a new warehouse investment.

Using CAD, modeling and strategic partners in WMS, storage equipment systems and complementary materials handling equipment, the Flexi Warehouse Systems Division is not only able to optimize the efficiency of any warehouse space to provide the most cost effective solution, this approach works extremely well for reconfiguring existing, often not fit for purpose buildings. These solutions can often do so in a faster implementation timeframe than has previously been thought possible. Key personnel will be on hand throughout IMHX to explain how.

Narrow Aisle Flexi has a UK-based global parts store from where product distribution and aftersales back-up is provided to Flexi users in over 60 countries around the world.
