Every three years bauma - the “World's Leading Trade Fair for Construction Machinery, Building Material Machines, Mining Machines, Construction Vehicles and Construction Equipment” - draws some 500,000 attendees from 200 countries to the week-long Munich-based event. For Jungheinrich it is an excellent opportunity to highlight the flexibility and high energy efficiency of its industrial trucks, including attachments, as well as its warehouse equipment solutions for the construction industry. A further spotlight is on the company's offerings and services involving rental equipment, financing and used equipment.
The main focus of the Jungheinrich booth at the bauma open-air site (F9/Stand 908 A) is on IC engine powered stackers with hydrodynamic or hydrostatic drive as well as its complete range of electric counterbalanced trucks. Thanks to numerous optional fittings, these forklifts can be individually equipped for a wide range of applications in the building materials manufacturing and retailing sector - for example by adding special attachments as well as filter solutions and fully enclosed drive solutions.
In addition visitors who stop by the Jungheinrich booth from April 11th to 17th will be treated to the company's comprehensive range of electric high and low platform trucks for building material retailers, including two mass-produced trucks with lithium-ion technology. As a general rule, industrial trucks equipped lithium-ion technology consume 30 percent less energy than forklifts running on lead-acid batteries. The lifespan of lithium-ion energy storage systems is about three times as long compared with conventional energy storage technology. In addition, the discharge level for lithium-ion batteries is considerably lower. In conjunction with the associated higher voltage level, this means more power for the same capacity rating.
With a load-bearing capacity of 1,500 kilogrammes, the newly developed EMD 115i is based on a novel design concept, thanks to its especially compact lithium-ion battery. As a result Jungheinrich now enjoys the distinction of offering the world's shortest universal stacker. The EMD 115i can be conveniently recharged at any 230 V mains socket and features short interim charging times, for example during breaks, allowing it to be used for up to three full shirts without needing to change the battery. With a lifting capacity of 2,000 kg, the EJE 120 low platform truck is likewise equipped with lithium-ion technology.
Rental forklifts for any purpose
With a global pool of over 48,000 vehicles and a dense network of branch offices and rental outlets, Jungheinrich can provide companies with the right stacker at the right time and place - whether for a single day or several months, from a small pedestrian truck to a large counterbalanced truck with attachment. In 80% of rental cases the desired vehicle is on its way to the client within two hours. And a fast repair service is provided by over 6,000 customer service engineers worldwide in case of breakdowns.
