In the German Headquarters of Toyota Material Handling, Matthias Fischer, President of Toyota Material Handling Europe as well as Ralf Nuyken, Global Key Account Manager, accepted from Robert Bosch GmbH the award of Preferred Supplier for Material Handling Equipment. This award was presented to them by Robert Huter, Vice President and Jens Wagner, Director / Corporate Lead Buyer. With this status Toyota Material Handling can be utilized across Europe as a Bosch project partner in the future.

Robert Bosch is one of the world's leading automotive suppliers. "For some years, good business relations have been existing between Toyota Industries Corporation (TICO) and Robert Bosch GmbH in the automotive sector, and now this relationship has been extended to include the warehouse truck and forklift truck sector with the Toyota Material Handling Group", explained Jens Wagner. The partnership in Europe is now being intensified with the signing of an exclusive supplier contract, and the awarding of the Preferred Supplier status, signed, sealed and delivered on April 15th, 2015.

"For the first time we have bundled and tendered the entire demands for the Bosch Group in Europe. Toyota has won this highly competitive bid by virtue of its technological expertise, its strong competitiveness and its high level of customer focus", explained Robert Huter. The industrial lift truck manufacturer was able to prove these qualities in a comprehensive supplier evaluation at the Mjölby plant. "We were tested thoroughly and we are proud of having satisfied the stringent quality requirements of Bosch", stated Ralf Nuyken. "This has enabled us to provide our products to Bosch all across Europe, and not just in Germany."

"Toyota Material Handling has a first-class network and is therefore able to supply us all across Europe", explained Jens Wagner. "We are looking forward to continuously working with a supplier who shares the same commitment to a high level of quality as the Robert Bosch GmbH."
