With voting now underway, the Fork Lift Truck Association (FLTA) has revealed that it received a record number of entries for its Annual Awards for Excellence 2015… with more new companies than ever before bidding to pick up a coveted Archie.

A total of forty nominations were received from twenty two companies from all around the globe posing the FLTA’s Awards Committee its toughest challenge yet as it strives to deliver a set of Finalists for its Pick of The Year – the definitive buyer’s guide to all that’s best in the fork lift truck sector.

According to Peter Harvey, Chief Executive of the FLTA: “We have some outstanding Finalists and we hope that everyone with an interest in fork lift trucks will visit our website and cast their vote for the remarkable new products that have won their way through to the shortlist.

“Some of the companies are household names, but alongside them are a significant number of FLT businesses who have never entered these awards previously. One thing is certain… their names may be unfamiliar now, but they won’t remain so once people see the contribution they are making, particularly in the areas of safety and protecting the environment.

“It’s a line-up that is nothing if not diverse. But every Finalist in our Pick of the Year shares one thing in common: a commitment to creating something innovative and exceptional that will make a real difference to the lives of those who work with and alongside fork lift trucks.

“Each has made a significant contribution to raising standards – which is why it is so important for their efforts to be recognised through an open vote by the people who actually stand to benefit from these achievements.”

Anyone whose work involves materials handling equipment is entitled to vote. This includes those who own or hire fork lift trucks, as well as those who manage, supervise or train fork lift operators – and the operators themselves.
Voting for Awards 2015 is now open and will close on 15th January 2015.
