The Jungheinrich fleet management system ISM Online ended up a winner in the “Business” category at the first IT Innovation Summit. Working in tandem with Device Insight – a leading provider of remote service platforms for machines, equipment and vehicles – Jungheinrich developed an M2M (Machine-to-Machine) platform for ISM Online.
Jungheinrich and Device Insight jointly presented the ISM Online fleet management tool at the first IT Innovation Summit this July in Munich. The summit provides companies – ranging from SMEs to global enterprises – with an opportunity to highlight their innovations. A high-calibre jury adjudicates the presentations to determine the final award winners. The event is produced by FINAKI, a company which specialises in the production and organisation of IT management conferences. FINAKI has been providing networking opportunities for IT decision-makers from innovative companies on the user and provider side since 1997.
Jungheinrich trucks are connected via wireless communication modules with M2M gateways in the production and warehouse halls. Over a wireless data network these gateways regularly transmit operating data to a cloud-based M2M platform which forwards the data on to the ISM Online fleet management system.
ISM Online is an analytical system for collection, monitoring and evaluation of fleet data, including utilisation data, operating hours and shock recording – at the global level, independent of site or manufacturer.
Jungheinrich ranks among the world’s leading companies in the material handling equipment, warehousing and material flow engineering sectors. The company is an intralogistics service and solution provider with manufacturing operations, which offers its customers a comprehensive range of forklift trucks, logistics systems, services and advice. Jungheinrich shares are traded on all German stock exchanges.
