Toyota Material Handling North America (TMHNA) today announced the appointment of Chief Procurement Officer Kevin W. Alexander, effective immediately. In his role, Alexander is responsible for developing and implementing a corporate procurement strategy and organizational structure to leverage the combined resources of Toyota Material Handling, U.S.A., Inc.(TMHU), Toyota Industrial Equipment Mfg., Inc. (TIEM) and The Raymond Corporation. TMHNA is comprised of TMHU, supplier of the number one selling lift truck brand in the U.S. since 2002; TIEM, Toyota’s zero-landfill forklift manufacturing facility in Columbus, Ind.; and The Raymond Corporation, the leading provider of narrow aisle electric lift trucks in North America. “As a leading provider of material handling solutions TMHNA consistently evaluates ways to improve business operations reduce overall costs and maintain a lean operation,” said Brett Wood, president and CEO of TMHNA. “As chief procurement officer, Kevin’s experience aligning purchasing and supplier synergies will contribute to the overall success of TMHNA and Toyota Material Handling Group.”

TMHNA is comprised of TMHU, supplier of the number one selling lift truck brand in the U.S. since 2002; TIEM, Toyota’s zero-landfill forklift manufacturing facility in Columbus, Ind.; and The Raymond Corporation, the leading provider of narrow aisle electric lift trucks in North America.

Alexander brings more than 15 years of executive experience to TMHNA, most recently serving as vice president of global sourcing for Honeywell Security Group, Honeywell International, Inc. Prior to Honeywell, he was vice president of strategic sourcing at Dover Corporation’s Paladin Brands Material Handling division. He has also held leadership positions at The Boeing Company, Glasstech, Inc. and SKF USA, Inc. Alexander earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Commerce from the University of Toronto.
