LiuGong, a global leader in manufacturing a full line of extreme duty equipment, presented its new E-Series excavator machines to the Dutch public for the first time at Technische Kontakt Dagen (TKD) from the 22nd - 24th May, 2014 in Almere, Netherlands.

Hansan Construction, the dealer of LiuGong machines in the Netherlands with offices in Heesch, Staphorst and Papendrecht, was in attendance to exhibit and demonstrate the new 922E, 925E and 930E E-Series machines.

Hans van der Heijden, Sales Director of Hansan Construction, was pleased with the response to the new machines, particularly given the scale of established competition that exists in Europe today.

"Given that people are sometimes reluctant to switch from the better known brands, we were delighted with the positive reaction the E-Series machines received," said van der Heijden. "As with any new manufacturer on the market, people need to be convinced. But people know our company, they trust our company, and know that we only deal with high-quality machines."

Each E-Series machine is equipped with a sustainable Stage IIIB Cummins engine and features a host of ergonomic features for greater efficiency and operator safety. The machines are further modifiable to the customers' demands, and look set to make a significant impression on the competitive European excavator market.

Because of the very nature of shows such as Technische Kontakt Dagen, it gives dealers like Hansan Construction the opportunity to illustrate the machines' European suitability first-hand.

"The objective of the TKD show is for the customers to come and test the machines, so it is the perfect platform for a manufacturer like LiuGong to demonstrate the quality of the products and establish its name in the region," explained van der Heijden.

"This was the first show where we have presented the machines to the public. A lot of people tried all the machines and were very positive, especially with how the machines reacted, the specifications and the way they have been adapted for the Dutch market," he added.

This adaptability to the European market has been a primary factor in LiuGong's burgeoning success on the continent, ensuring the machines are EU regulation compliant and that they can cater to the Dutch market's needs.

The TKD show itself was held in Almere, which has been home to LiuGong's European Headquarters since 2012. This local base puts the Chinese manufacturer closer to its dealers and this relationship has been beneficial to both parties.

Van der Heijden elaborated: "This regular, direct contact with LiuGong helps both of us to develop the future generation of machines. It means we can make quick modifications to suit the customer, as well as providing fast delivery and a greater availability of spare parts."

"The machines are certainly comparable to the major European, American and Japanese manufacturers, and LiuGong's reputation for developing excavators will only increase - for this reason and through the feedback from TKD, I am confident we will sell many E-Series machines in the Netherlands."
