Hangcha, one of the largest forklift manufacturers in China, has successfully entered European markets with its HC range of trucks, supplied through its South African-based distributor, Eqstra Group.

The Hangcha range is marketed in the UK by Eqstra’s subsidiary, HC Forklifts UK, through a network of 24 dealers. The brand is handled in the Republic of Ireland by Atlas Mechanical Services, Balbriggan, Co Dublin.

The Eqstra Group is a major player in the supply and maintenance of industrial, agricultural and materials handling equipment throughout South Africa and the UK.
The range includes diesel and LPG-powered forklifts, 3 and 4-wheel electric trucks, plus a comprehensive range of warehouse equipment. The machines are all manufactured in China, with running gear sourced from Japan or Korea – including Cummins, Nissan, Perkins and Yanmar engines, and Okamura, MS and ZF transmissions. Recent additions to the company’s portfolio include a massive 32-tonne capacity diesel forklift, as well as a brand new warehouse range. Around 30% of machines manufactured in Hangcha’s Zhejiang Province-based factory are exported.

Atlas Mechanical Services provides a full sales and service operation from its Balbriggan premises. In addition to the HC forklift trucks, Atlas also offers the Spanish-built Agrimac rough terrain forklifts.
