Out of 165 submissions, the expert panel awarded the coveted design Étoile (star) to a total of 28 projects, including the STILL cubeXX, in December. Stéphane Boutron, who is responsible for communications at STILL France, believes that the award is confirmation of the outstanding quality of the intralogistics concept vehicle. "With the cubeXX, STILL has achieved a revolutionary concept in terms of both design and function", says Boutron.
It is the sixth award that STILL has won in the "Observeur du Design" competition in France. The successes started exactly ten years ago in 2004. At that time it was the electric forklift truck RX 50 which was awarded the French design prize. It was followed by the order picker CS (2005), the pallet truck EXU-S (2007), the reach truck FM-X (2008), the CITI (2011) and now the concept vehicle cubeXX.
The design prize has been running for 15 years: created in 1999 in France by the Agence pour la Promotion de la Création Industrielle (APCI), the Observeur du Design is a competition which is open to companies, designers, schools and the general public.
Innovative design developments are awarded with the Observeur du Design"label". It rewards excellent quality every year by awarding the Étoiles Observeur du Design.
