The EU anti-dumping duty on all pallet trucks, imported from China to EU countries, is also valid for stainless pallet trucks. This means that the price difference between stainless pallet trucks from China and stainless pallet trucks from e.g. Denmark is also very small.

"Until now focus has especially been on the anti-dumping duty on painted products. But to many companies it is decisive that the material used for the handling equipment manages thorough cleaning or aggressive environments", says Gitte Kirkegaard, Sales Director at Logitrans A/S.

The food and pharmaceutical industries have severe demands for the material of handling equipment. Wet and aggressive environments affect the material considerably, and corrosion-resistant handling equipment, being easy to clean, is a condition in these industries.

Gitte Kirkegaard continues: "We therefore need to highlight that it is also worthwhile to buy stainless pallet trucks, manufactured in Europe, and to stress that it is profitable to buy good and strong Danish quality. Considering all the advantages of our stainless pallet truck, it is worthwhile to pay the very small additional price."
