A leading materials handling and forklift attachment firm has launched the perfect solution to help its customers effectively and efficiently dispose of waste.

Mid Wales-based Contact Attachments has designed and manufactured a diverse range of forklift tipping skips, creating an ideal way for its customers to strategically locate their skips on site to keep working areas clear and allowing safe and speedy removal of scrap or rubbish.

Jason Cadman, Technical Sales Consultant at Contact Attachments, explained: "We developed our CE approved skips to not only enable our clients to pick and choose where they want their skip to be situated, but also to allow them to move them around at any time, as they are simply attached to the forklift. In addition to this, we have launched a range of colours so that our users can carry out waste segregation in a much easier and safer way."

The firm, which has been designing and manufacturing forklift attachments from its base in Newtown for more than 30 years, offers a longer service life for its skips by using heavy-duty steel for their under-frames, retro-fitted castors to eliminate the need for welding, security chains for ensuring the lift is securely fastened to the truck, and safety locking systems for when skips are unevenly loaded.

"Our skips also come in a range of forms to specifically suit each and every one of our clients, including ones with lids, raised mesh sides, as well as stainless steel and galvanized skips. The capacities range from 0.25m3 right up to 2.0m3, and also come with full width release handles to prevent our customers from having to dangerously lean between skip and truck mast.

"Like all of our products, our skips are manufactured to the highest quality and are fully tested and compliant with all appropriate health and safety regulations. Our skips are currently being used by blue chip companies such as Esso, Coca Cola, Rolls Royce and Travis Perkins," Jason concluded.

Contact Attachments has been designing and manufacturing forklift truck attachments from its base in Newtown, Mid Wales, for over 30 years and is recognised as the quality leader of truck attachments in the UK.
