&B Attachments Ltd, Northumberland, is the leading independent provider of forklift truck attachments and materials handling goods. The company, which has been established since 1980, is the sole UK distributor of manufacturer KAUP GmbH's products. Now B&B Attachments are set to reveal KAUP's latest product, Conveyer Belt Forks. Having never previously been released in the UK, this product bridges the gap between palletized and palletless handling, by enabling the user to do both.

B&B Attachments has specialised in the sale of materials handling equipment, both across the UK and internationally. The company, which also has an attachment hire department, has an in-house design team, creating original, bespoke products for customers. Their current sales force, which has nearly 100 years of combined experience, can now add the new KAUP product to their catalogue.

Although the Conveyer Belt Forks are now available to purchase, B&B Attachments will officially reveal them at the Industrial Materials Handling Exhibition (IMHX) 2013 on the exhibition. This event, which will take place from 19th- 22nd of March 2013, will be attended by 20,000 logistics professionals.

KAUP is one of the world's leading suppliers of forklift truck attachments, stationary equipment and container spreaders. Located in Aschaffenburg, Germany, this family business manufactures around 40,000 individual units a year, and employs 700 people. Their Conveyer Belt Forks were officially launched at the Hannover Messe in 2011, and have since been available in Germany.

Now, through B&B Attachments, this product is reaching the UK market. Managing Director of B&B Attachments Mike Barton has worked in the forklift and attachment industry for 47 years. Mike explains the details of this new product:

"The Conveyer Belt Fork (T180FG) attachment has been designed to facilitate the handling of both palletized and palletless materials, with the intention of saving a customer time and money. The surface of the forks has is an in-built conveyer belt system, allowing goods to be mechanically pulled onto the forks, and set down again in the same way.

"This design allows the Conveyer Belt Forks to be used for handling palletless goods, both bagged and non-bagged, and cartons. Large surface goods which cannot be clamped can also be lifted by this product with ease. This attachment can also handle Euro pallets- both lengthwise and crosswise- providing heightened safety as there's double support for load distribution, on two pairs of forks"

By combining the functionality of two attachments, this product allows the user to move a diverse range of materials with only one forklift. Maximising productivity, the time-consuming changeover of attachments is no longer necessary, so work can be conducted more efficiently. This product is the economic, cost-effective option for the organisations that use it. It is this versatility that makes the Conveyer Belt Forks suitable for all types of logistics work. Airports and ports, in-plant areas and production facilities are already benefitting from this multi- purpose attachment, outside of the UK.

They can select from the number of forks, specifying their chosen width, and choose the number of belts they require.
