Snorkel has appointed Diesel Hydraulique Services, the Tadano-Faun dealer, as its official distributor for France.

The company will sell the full Snorkel range of aerial lifts and provide a national spare parts and technical support service to owners of Snorkel and UpRight equipment.

DHS is a division Groupe Fabbri which also owns the Starlift powered access and telehandler rental business, which operates from six locations in North East France, one in Luxembourg and one in Bucharest, Romania.

Verania Costa Rivas, Snorkel’s district manager for Southern Europe, said: "DHS is an ideal partner for us in France, combining technical expertise and a dedication to customer service with a deep knowledge of the aerial lift market. I look forward to working with them to penetrate regional rental companies and major national accounts. There remains a large fleet of our products in France, particularly old UpRight lifts, representing a great opportunity on spare parts."

Groupe Fabbri was founded in 1961 as a steel construction company, by Inoré Fabbri, the father of current president Jacques Fabbri. It has grown significantly over the years and now encompasses industrial machinery, commercial vehicle and renewable energy divisions in addition to rental and services. It employs 220 people across 18 sites in France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Romania.
