Materials handling and intra-logistics solutions specialist Jungheinrich has completed the renovation of its West Midlands-based used forklift truck showroom facility.

The showroom, in the Erdington district of Birmingham, has undergone a significant upgrade and now provides a comfortable and stylish setting for Jungheinrich's customers to view and purchase models from the company's wide range of refurbished forklift trucks.

"We want our used forklift clients to enjoy a positive experience when they visit our showroom and have set about creating a space where our 'second life' forklift truck models can be displayed in style," says Neil Warren, Jungheinrich UK Ltd's Used Equipment and Short Term Rental Director.

Some 30 different Jungheinrich used trucks from the company's extensive range will be on display in the showroom and all are offered for next day delivery.

As well viewing the various truck models in stock, visitors to the Erdington facility will see a step-by-step demonstration of the refurbishment process - widely perceived to be the most thorough in the lift truck industry - undertaken by Jungheinrich 'second life' trucks at the group's specialist used truck factory at Dresden, Germany.

Jungheinrich is the first forklift truck manufacturer to have a factory dedicated to used truck refurbishment and all Jungheinrich's used trucks are rebuilt to the same high quality. Every machine is completely dismantled and all worn or defective parts are replaced - including tyres and lift chains. The trucks are cleaned inside and out and repainted before being reassembled and safety tested.

"Our clients can drop in to our Erdington showroom and enjoy a cup of coffee while discussing their materials handling needs with our experienced staff," adds Neil Warren.

"And, if we do not have the type of truck a visitor is looking for in stock at the showroom, the chances are we will be able to source the perfect model from ourdatabase which covers all the used trucks available from Jungheinrich Group subsidiaries throughout Europe."
