It was informed that the series of iron battery counterbalanced forklifts designed and manufactured by BYD were recently rolled off the line, and would have been launched to the market officially in this June according to the plan. The launch of the forklifts would become powerful driving force for BYD to realize another rise.

As the global No.1 manufacturer of charging battery, BYD held the largest marketing share of nickel cadmium batteries as well as the largest marketing share of lithium batteries for cell phones in the global market, and possessed the state-of-art iron battery technology. It was also the iron battery that was used as the driving power of the BYD electric forklifts.

The data collected through the experiments for iron batteries, the iron batteries can keep a high usage rate of 75% after charging and recharging for more than 4000 times. If one forklift needs to be recharged once a day, the service life of iron battery can be more than 10 years, which is 5 times than that of the conventional lead-acid batteries. The lead-acid batteries that are common on the market nowadays would cause horrible consequences towards the water, air and land during their production and usage; while the iron batteries are featured with zero emission and eco-friendly advantages, which are complied with the concept of BYD’s development. Relying on the sound strength of BYD in the IT field, it would add more values to the electric forklifts when installed with IT fruits such as electric system and automatic controlling system.

At present, BYD electric forklifts had been produced in mass. The appearance of BYD forklifts used bright orange and elegant gray to make the forklifts more innovative and stable.
