BYD Company Limited, as the new blood in the field of industrial vehicles, would launch their forklift products to the market in the middle of 2012 after two years’ development and manufacturing. BYD forklifts have different series, including electric counterbalanced forklifts, electric pallet trucks, electric stackers and electric reach trucks. The power system on the forklifts will use the iron battery self-developed by BYD. Combined with the advanced manufacturing technologies from BYD Auto, the company promised to produce the first-class electric industrial vehicles. This would be the first time for the iron battery technology to be applied into industrial vehicle industry in mass, opening a new era for the new energy technology in the field of industrial vehicles.

It was informed that in China, only BYD succeeded in putting forward such iron battery technology and applying to BYD K9 and E6 series of autos. BYD electric forklifts are featured with safety, environmental-protection, stability, comfort and high efficiency. Equipped with the batteries of longer serving life, the forklifts are strong in power, eco-friendly and maintenance free. Due to these advantages, the electric forklifts would have longer working intervals and usage life. It has been tested that BYD electric forklifts can be charged for more than 4000 times, which is 3 to 4 times of the common electric forklifts. Fast charging only needs 1-2 hours. The longer operation intervals therefore solved the defects of electric forklifts lying in the dynamic cruise. BYD forklifts have been tested for a long period, and have a normal operating system.
