The Supervisory Board of Linde Material Handling GmbH has extended the contract of CEO Theodor Maurer (52) by another four years. This means that Maurer will manage the company until 2016.

“Theodor Maurer has done an excellent job over the past four years,” said Gordon Riske, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Linde Material Handling GmbH. “He successfully navigated Linde through the time of severe economic crisis. Together with his colleagues on the Management Board, he has developed growth initiatives that will sustainably safeguard the company’s success in the long term.”

“I am delighted with this vote of confidence and would like to thank the Supervisory Board for the new mandate,” Maurer explained. “Together with my colleagues on the Management Board and our highly motivated and qualified staff, we will consistently continue on our growth course. We have first-class products and services, and we have a clear-cut goal: We want to expand Linde’s position as number one in Europe, become the most successful premium supplier in the material handling sector worldwide and enjoy the full confidence of our customers and employees.”

Maurer joined Linde Material Handling GmbH as Sales Director in 2008, following an executive assignment in Daimler AG’s commercial vehicle business. One year later he was appointed CEO and Chairman of the company’s Management Board.

Linde Material Handling GmbH, with its company head offices in Aschaffenburg, is one of the leading global manufacturers of forklift trucks and warehouse trucks and is also one of the most important producers of hydrostatic and electric drives, which are used both in their own forklifts as well as in construction, agricultural and forestry machinery. Linde Material Handling employs around 12,500 people across the world and achieved an annual turnover of approx. EUR 2.25 billion in 2010.
