German loader and telescopic handler specialist Weidemann has introduced two new models to its range.
The T4512 CC40 compact telehandler is based on the preceding 4512 CC35 model, but features a Vertical Lift System (VLS), a bigger engine and improved maintenance access.
Powered by a 40hp (29.9kW) Yanmar engine, it is 1.56m wide with 1.96m of headroom. Weighing 2.5 tonnes, the machine can handle a maximum payload of 1.2t and has a maximum lift height of 4.5m at the bucket’s pivot point.
The VLS system is designed to improve the safety and efficiency of the machine, says the manufacturer. The system works by automatically adjusting the position of the telescopic arm cylinder while the lift cylinder is being operated. This results in an almost vertical motion of the boom for greater stability, it says.
The manufacturer has also added the 4270 CX100T telescopic articulated wheeled loader to top out the series with an operating weight of 7,500kg.
Powered by a 101hp (74.5kW) Perkins four-cylinder engine, the 4270 is based on the current largest 4070 model, but now features a beefed-up chassis,
additional ballast, reinforced telescopic boom and a twin-steering cylinder layout, which requires fewer turns of the steering wheel to achieve full lock, says the firm.
As an option, a 150-litre proportional hydraulic control system can be specified.
The 4270 will be available from March. The 4512 will be available from the following May.
