Jungheinrich® (http://www.jungheinrich-lift.com), a leading brand of material handling warehouse equipment, has been informed that two of its lift trucks, the EKS 208 order picker and ETV Q20 / ETV Q25 moving mast reach truck, are in the running for Plant Engineering's 2011 Product of the Year under the Material Handling Systems category. The products will be featured in the November issue, where Plant Engineering will invite its readers to vote on a product that they deem best in each category.

"We are honored to have two of Jungheinrich's warehouse products nominated by Plant Engineering for 'Product of the Year'," said Kent Eudy, vice president of sales and marketing for Jungheinrich at Mitsubishi Caterpillar Forklift America Inc. (MCFA). "Our goal is to provide customers with quality and reliable products that are worthy of such recognition."

One of the nominated products, the ETV Q20 / ETV Q25, is an electric, multi-directional moving mast reach truck. The ETV Q series reach truck has five available travel programs that include 360° steering, minimum turning radius and rapid direction change. With intuitive handling and ergonomically-arranged displays, the moving mast reach truck provides ideal working conditions for high performance and ease of operation.

The second nominee, the EKS 208, a mid- to high-level order picker, offers industry-leading order picking performance in elevated-rack and narrow aisle warehouse applications. The EKS models have set new standards in flexibility, energy efficiency and ergonomics. The spacious operator compartment provides ideal working conditions for high-performance and ease of operation, including a two-piece console for the operator that features a large, informative display.

Product of the Year nominees will be featured in the November issue of Plant Engineering, and readers will then vote for their top product selection in each category. Based on the results, products receiving a gold, silver or bronze medal will be honored at a special ceremony in Chicago in March 2012. Winners will be announced in the April 2012 issue of Plant Engineering.
