China Import & Export Fair 2011 was grandly opened at Guagnzhou Pazhou Complex in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province on October 15. It was after 2001 when China officially entered World Trade Organization (WTO) that the Canton Fair began to frequently appear on the international market. In the first ten years in the new century, Canton Fair had been standing on the starting line of a new ear.

This time, Canton Fair welcomed its 55 autumn. With the years’ development, Canton Fair had become the grand gathering for more than 24000 excellent foreign trade enterprises. This Fair had contributed a lot on the development of foreign trades in China, and was titled to be the barometer and vane for the economic development in China. Thousands of enterprises started from here to walk towards the world. As Wen Jiabao, the Premier of the State Council said at the opening ceremony of the 110 Canton Fair, it would be the tenth anniversary of China to enter WTO, which would was valuable to celebrate during the opening-up process of China. “If Canton Fair was a window that China opened for the world, the entry into WTO could be a door that was opened for the world; and if Canton Fair was a hand that China held to the world, the entry of WTO was an action that China embraced the whole world,” said Premier Wen Jiabao.

It was informed from the site of the 110 Canton Fair that most of the enterprises had a higher expectation on the price offer of the purchasers compared to the same period of last year, and the products made in China that were famous for their low price made several international purchasers stop their steps. Due to the rise of the prices of raw materials and labors, the factories and manufacturers had to raise their price, which would lead to the obvious rise of the costs of the products made in China. It might slightly influence the sales of the made-in-China products, but the enterprise would also take some measures such as continuous enhancement of product quality and technological innovation so as to baffle the impact of the rising price.

The 110th Canton Fair attracted a large number of forklift manufacturers. At the exhibition areas of construction machinery and forklifts, more than 20 domestic forklift equipment manufacturers and handling equipment manufacturers showed their products, including Heli, Dalian Forklift, Sunward, Tailift, XGMA, Maximal, Goodsense, UN, Chery, Jingjiang, Ruyi, Noblelift, Huahe, Kipor, Niuli, Haitian, Jinmao, Shangli, Eagleman and Hongli.
　
The grandeur exhibition complex was located at Huangpu Port with more than one hundred years of history. From one port for the trades to the No.1 exhibition in China and even the world, Canton Fair was held alongside the Pazhou Tower with a long history to perform a legend and also to witness the span of the history.

China had become the second largest economic body and the second largest trading country in the world, and had formed the basic structure of opening up in an all round way, into wider fields and at multiple levels.
