Swedish truck manufacturer, Atlet have recently announced the introduction of their new generation of Tergo reach trucks.

Focusing on how to minimise operator fatigue and stress, the trucks are ergonomically designed for maximum comfort.

"With a market demanding high uptime and with operators often spending their entire day in the forklift, an ergonomically designed operator environment is the way to go", said Dan Ulmestrand, product development manager at Atlet.

Designed around the operator, the reach trucks include a wide range of personal adjustments and innovations, allowing a strain-free, and variable working environment.

"Our aim was to design the world's most personal truck. By involving the users from the very beginning of the project and then continuously soliciting their input, the operators had a profound impact on the final result,” added Ulmestrand.

In a recent ergonomic evaluation study carried out by Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, the Atlet Terco performed strongly.

"The study compared the new Atlet Tergo with reach trucks from three other makes which showed that the Tergo offered more ergonomic working postures than the other reach trucks,” said Ulmestrand. ”We are of course, very pleased our hard work keeps paying off."

The addition of the new reach trucks are an extension to the firm’s product range and a platform to build the company, according to Keiji Ikeda, CEO, Atlet.

"Our goal is to take a stronger position within the market for warehouse trucks and the launch of the new reach trucks will secure our position as one of the leading suppliers of high performing quality trucks,” he said.
