Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks has expanded its management team, naming Stewart Gosling its regional manager for the south.

Staffordshire-born Stewart will support and guide nine members of the manufacturer's Authorised Dealer Network throughout the south of England.

Having started out in the industry as an apprentice engineer, Stewart brings more than 29 years' experience in forklift trucks to the Mitsubishi management team. Most recently, Stewart managed national accounts for a leading competitor.

He says: "Throughout my career, I've enjoyed working with customers of all shapes and sizes - from small businesses to multi-nationals - to help them get the best value from their trucks.

"That's why I am delighted to be working with Mitsubishi. We offer a unique combination of an international manufacturer with a near-legendary reputation for reliability allied to a dealer network that consistently outshines the competition in surveys for standards of customer care."

General manager Mike Jones is particularly impressed by Stewart's in-depth understanding customers' materials handling needs. Mike says: "Stewart's unrivalled ability in generating the best deal for each and every customer combined with his technical background makes him a massive asset for dealers.

"His specialist, yet practical, knowledge of fleet management is going to be particularly valuable as we develop this aspect of our business."
