Party Secretary of Jingjiang Chen Mingguan met with Gordon Riske, CEO of KION Group and Quek Chingpong, CEO of KION Asia in City Administration Center on Tuesday, 19th July. The two sides made friendly exchange on advancing the cooperative relationship. Party Standing Committee member You Hong also joined the meeting.

The KION Group is a worldwide leading provider for forklift trucks headquartered in Germany. In 2009,KION Group and Jiangsu Baoli Group in Jingjiang set up a joint venture company KION Baoli (Jiangsu) Forklift Co.,Ltd. focusing on economy segment worldwide. In May 2010, the KION Group took the full ownership and management control in KION Baoli after restructuring of property rights.

At the meeting, Mr.Riske shared the performance of KION Baoli since 2009 and its new 5-year plan. He said the KION Group will expand the investment in KION Baoli to upgrade current equipment and improve production capacity, and thus to ensure the execution of the new 5-year plan. In the meantime, KION Baoli will play a more and more important role in the KION Group worldwide strategy as the second manufacturing base in Asia.

Mr.Chen said he was pleased to see the achievements of KION Baoli and appreciated the attention the KION Group paying to KION Baoli and the new 5-year plan of KION Baoli. Jingjiang City will create a good environment for foreign investment and wish KION Baoli to perform better in the future.
