On June 24, 2011, when the Seventh Guangzhou International Brand Forklift & Accessories Exhibition was successfully closed, China Forklift Co., Ltd. held the 2011 sales conference in the meeting room in Kai Rong Du International Hotel in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province.

 

Nearly twenty member companies of China Forklift Co., Ltd. and several matching manufactures entered the sales conference, including Anhui Heli, Zhejiang Hangcha, Dalian Forklift, Guangxi LiuGong, Jingjiang Forklift, Jinxing Forklift, Cascade and Yifine Electric. The General Manager of China Forklift Co., Ltd. Zhao Jiming presided over the conference. He made a detailed report to all the member companies on the latest trends and tendencie of forklift industry in the first half year of 2011. In the report, Mr. Zhao firstly expressed his hope that peers in the forklift industry should more actively take part in such kind of conference so as to collect good ideas and innovative concepts for further development. After the forklift industry in China experienced the fast growth last year, the forklift sales kept the rapid increasing momentum in the first and second quarters in 2011, which might have exceeded 80,000 sets in the first half year, 10,000 sets more than that in 2010.

 

In recent years, against the background that the national macro economic control ended, Consumer Price Index (CPI) continued to increase and the price of raw materials kept rising, how to comply the regulations of forklift industry and keep good momentum of forklift sales in China when more and more foreign merchants increased the investment to establish localized factories so as to occupy more market shares of Chinese forklift market? How can the domestic companies consolidate the current bases, develop the emerging industries and expand the application area of forklifts when facing with the fact that the famous brands in the field of construction machinery and automobiles in domestic China entered forklift industry with sound capitals? How can the matching enterprises follow the developing rate of forklift manufacturing enterprises? All these issues had been testing the wisdom of the managers and operators in the industrial vehicle industry.  

 

Mr. Zhao also mentioned specifically that forklifts in China nowadays were in fact in a status of overproduction. However, there were a number of enterprises eager to enter the forklift industry and some of them even took action without enough analysis. The risk was consequently inevitable if the three necessary conditions for the enterprise to develop forklift career, including capital chain, technological and research support and sales network.

 

Besides, Mr. Zhao also stated that under the promotion of famous and leading forklift brands at home and abroad, product quality in the field of forklift industry enhanced and the scale of logistics supply chain became more and more sophisticated, but the quality of the products matched with the forklift industry was still lagging behind. Most of the domestic manufactures reflected that the parts were bad in quality with high rate of returning to repair. The technological innovation and upgrade of quality and after sales service of matching parts to forklifts were in great urgent needs to ensure the balanced development of the industrial structure and to provide quality service for the customers. He called for the enterprises to follow the developing trend of the times to continuously adjust the sales strategies and policies of the companies. In the first half year, the demand of industrial vehicles in overseas market resumed to increase again, while the domestic market on the other side presented to fall down a little when compared to the situation last year. The new companies entering forklift market with fierce momentum in recent times owned strong and powerful capital backup and sales network, leaving great impacts on the current forklift industry. All the players in the forklift field were busy competing on prices in order to get more market shares. “It is true that there are potential risks on the market, and we shall not be too optimistic when considering about the situation of the market,” Zhao Jiming said, “we shall be prepare for the challenges and have our own solutions to settle down the risks. It is possible that the forklift industry is expected to have a great fluctuation in the second half year of 2011, and I hope al the member companies can make corresponding sales strategies and plans so as to be ready to face with the possible challenges.”
