On June 14, 2011, Administrative Committee of Jiuhua Demonstration Zone in Xiangtan and Hunan Bureau of Agricultural Machinery signed a cooperative contract of a large project. The two parties were engaged in building Hunan Agricultural Machinery Industrial Park in Jiuhua Demonstration Zone, and planned to establish such kind of industrial park to be worthy of annual production amount up to tens of billions Yuan in three to five years s
o as to improve the comprehensive level of agricultural machinery in Hunan Province. Deputy Secretary of Hunan Provincial Party Committee Mei Kebao and Deputy Director of Standing Committee of Hunan Provincial People’s Congress Chen Shuhong attended the signing ceremony.

According to the related introduction, this industrial park is invested with a total of ten billion Yuan and 5000 Mu of lands will be used for the first phase of construction in the plan. The whole park will be divided into three modules when construction, respectively comprehensive service zone, manufacturing zone for agricultural machinery and pilot and demonstration zone for modern agricultural equipment, in order to establish a large-scaled platform integrated with agricultural machinery production, exhibition, trade, technological communicating and training, research and development and comprehensive service. The first phase construction will be started at the end of this year. Companies including Hunan Sunward Intelligent Machinery Co., Ltd. (Short Name: Sunward, Stock Code: 002097) and Hunan Nongyou Machinery Co., Ltd. in Hunan Province, Zhejiang Sanlian Combine Manufacturing Co., Ltd. and Qingdao Xincheng Yiming Rubber Machinery Co., Ltd. from other provinces grasped the great opportunities to enter the part and signed the Letter of Investment Intent with the industrial park.

On the ceremony, Chen Shuhong pointed out that the agricultural machinery industry should be planned at a high level and a high starting point, circling around the aim of establishing the energy-saving and eco-friendly society to develop the industry. The companies should lay more importance to improve the self-innovation ability to change products “made in Hunan” to “created in Hunan” and to establish Hunan Agricultural Machinery Industrial Park to be an innovative park. The sales market of agricultural machinery should be expanded to go out Hunan province, to the whole nation and then to overseas.

Chen Shuhong also said that this new industrial park should be constructed to be the portal of Hunan agricultural machinery industry to enter the world market. The companies should foster more brands to form industrial cluster and try every effort to build the park to be a famous national industrial park for agricultural machinery in middle and southern China. The Park should be taken as a platform as well as a demonstration site to greatly enhance the innovative capacity to develop agricultural machinery technologies, the competence to machinery assembly and matching as well as the service level of agricultural machinery socialization, so as to promote the mechanization level of agricultural machinery in Hunan Province in a broad-based way.
