During a recent visit to Australia, Bolzoni Auramo’s chief executive officer Roberto Scotti, announced that in an effort to expand Bolzoni Auramo’s presence in the Australian forklift attachment market, the strategic decision was taken to acquire Eurolift Pty Ltd from Peter Beaumont and Elme Spreader AB.
The operations of Eurolift will be merged with Bolzoni Auramo Australia and will continue to trade in both Sydney and Adelaide with a view to establishing an even greater presence in the national market.
Mr Beaumont, who has been involved in the design, manufacture and sales of forklift attachments for over 30 years, has announced his retirement as managing director.
Mr Scotti confirmed that following the acquisition, Bolzoni Auramo Pty Ltd will continue to represent the materials handling products, previously distributed by Eurolift, in addition to the Bolzoni Auramo and Meyer ranges of forklift attachments, which will include the full range of Elme spreaders.
Following his retirement, Mr Beaumont will be succeeded by Ross McNamara, who has previously held senior managerial roles within such companies such as Pirelli Eu & UTC Group America. Mr McNamara has been involved with and associated with capital equipment throughout his career and will bring both local and international experience to the role.
Mr Scotti said the new structure will provide a seamless national presence for the Bolzoni Auramo and Meyer attachment ranges, which will lead to improved support for the products.
During the recent Hannover Cemat exhibition, both Bolzoni Auramo and Meyer released new products that will allow their clients to increase the efficiency of their forklift trucks.
