On March 20, Wuhu Ruichuang Forklift Co., Ltd.—a subsidiary of Chery Automobile Co., Ltd. held a production presentation meeting, and demonstrated their 1-10 ton electric forklift, engine forklift and large-tonnage forklifts. The introduction of Ruichuang branded forklifts was also the sign that Chery officially expanded their business from automobile manufacturing and entered forklift manufacturing industry since then.

After ten-year’s fast development, Chery has formed their full-fledged systems of power train, assembling and technology. Against the climate that more forklifts were demanded on overseas market, Chery Automobile invested RMB 600 million Yuan in February, 2010 to establish Chery Ruichuang Forklift Co., Ltd. in Wuhu Economic & Technological Development District. Ruichuang Forklift Co., Ltd. has developed into a model enterprise integrating forklift development, production and sales in this year, with products ranging from engine forklifts, battery forklifts, stackers to tow tractors. Great effects and revolutionary progress have been taken to the forklift industry as Chery use the auto manufacturing techniques to produce construction machinery such as forklifts. Since the establishment of Ruichuang brand, Chery positioned the satisfaction degree of customers as their primary principle for product development. Chery created unique aerial pipeline design to avoid the oil leakage of forklift, and adopted the technology firstly introduced in China to weld the body and frame of the forklift, applying steel sheets as the side plates and front fender which would definitely prolong the service life of the equipment and reduce the maintenance cost as well.

Besides the advanced technology advantage and high quality of product, Chery Ruichuang Forklift acted innovatively compared with other forklift manufacturers in domestic China. The company borrowed the sales and service concept of 4S shops for autos and flexibly integrated the marketing and after sales of the forklifts to provide the customers with broad-based, convenient and sophisticated backup support system including sale, spare part, service, survey and operation training as the core, ensuring the customers with more confidence on their operation.

In March, 2011, Chery Ruichuang Forklift Co., Ltd. won a large order from South Africa to supply 350 sets of forklifts to the local market, demonstrating a good starting point for Chery Ruichuang forklifts on the overseas market.

Chery Automobile Co., Ltd. was founded in 1997 by five of Anhui’s local state owned investment companies with an initial capitalization of RMB 3.2 billion.
