Jungheinrich presents its complete performance range to the trade at CeMAT 2011: From trucks and racking via systems and processes to tailor-made financial services products. An important aspect here is the costs arising over the entire lifespan of investments.

Jungheinrich calls this reflection on costs from the customer’s point of view BestInvest. BestInvest is presented for the first time at CeMAT 2011. “Behind it is a very clear statement: The customer receives the best performance for his money from Jungheinrich!”, says Dr. Helmut Limberg, Member of the Board of Management, Sales and Marketing, at Jungheinrich. “Many call this Total Cost of Ownership or also Total Cost of Operations”, Limberg continues. “Jungheinrich call this promise to customers BestInvest!”

Operating costs of a fork lift truck or a logistics installation include the costs for energy and maintenance apart from purchasing and utilisation costs. However, the largest share is allotted to personnel costs. According to a survey of the German Engineering Federation (VDMA), 70 percent of companies in Germany and the USA regard the consideration of operating costs over the entire life of the investment for important.

As the purchasing costs of a truck are only a proportion of the entire investment, BestInvest – i.e. the consideration of total costs over the lifespan of a truck – is in particular aimed at energy, personnel and also maintenance costs. “Jungheinrich has held a top position here for many years. Our customers appreciate the high throughout efficiency at usually low energy costs of our Jungheinrich fork lift trucks”, says Helmut Limberg.

Added to this is the comprehensive service provided by Jungheinrich. Among others, this includes the dense After Sales network. The company’s own highly-qualified, service technicians make certain that Jungheinrich stackers ensure a high level of availability. A night-time supply of spare parts is secured via three central spare parts depots, so that the supply of parts to service vehicles is ensured even at night.

As almost every third Jungheinrich truck is rented or leased today, the significance of financing and Full Service is increasing continuously. Jungheinrich is also firmly positioned here and has offers in its program that are tailored to customer requirements. Jungheinrich is represented by own financial services companies in relevant markets. Apart from Germany, this applies to Italy, France, Great Britain and Spain.

Jungheinrich has expanded its logistics systems business considerably over the past few years. In so doing, the company has focussed on tailor-made solutions, running the gamut from manual storage installations featuring warehouse management systems and radio communications to fully automated warehousing systems with shelf operating devices and conveyor technology and combinations of the two. Jungheinrich stands by its customers from the first consulting session through planning, project engineering and system integration to services once the solutions are up and running.

Jungheinrich ranks among the world’s leading companies in the material handling equipment, warehousing and material flow engineering sectors. The company is a service provider with manufacturing operations as well as an intralogistics solution provider, which offers its customers a comprehensive range of forklift trucks, shelving systems, services and consulting. Jungheinrich shares are traded on all German stock exchanges.
