Brintons Carpets has acquired a new Haulotte Star 6 'Picking' mast type lift, for its operation in Kidderminster, UK. The machine has been supplied through Midlands-based Mitsubishi forklift dealer Jofson, on a contract rental package.

With a working height of six metres, electric drive and low noise the unit is well suited for work in commercial and retail stores and logistics operations. The platform allows the operator to place and pick parcels, small boxes and parts stored at height in comfort and safety. Its stowed height of 1.64 metres and overall width of 760mm allows it to pass through standard doorways and lifts.

(L-R) Dave Roddy of Haulotte hands over the Star 6P to Martin Priest of Brintons, with Darron Hillier of Jofson. Brintons’ Janine Phipps is the operator.

“The Star 6 Picking has increased productivity and is in constant use over two shifts,” said Martin Priest, Brintons’ group engineering manager. “It is the perfect order picker for our small batches of yarn because it has a small footprint which means we can manoeuvre easily around the warehouse.”

Dave Roddy, Haulotte regional account manager, added: “The Star 6 Picking is ideal for companies like Brintons. It’s a robust, hard working machine that can really have a positive impact on this type of business.”
