On October 15th, 2010, Shanghai Ho-Qian Logistics Equipment Trading Co., Ltd. held the launch conference for Toyota Z series IC forklifts in Songjiang, Shanghai. It was the fifth stop of Z series exhibition tour initiated by Toyota Material Handling (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (TMHS) after the successful introduction in Chongqing, Minhang of Shanghai, Suzhou and Wuhan. On the conference, nearly a hundred of guests including the representatives of the end users of Toyota forklifts, superiors from Toyota Material Handling (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., middle and high level managers from Shanghai Ho-Qian Logistics Equipment Trading Co., Ltd. and the media representatives  gathered together to share the merriment with TMHS and Ho-Qian to witness the launch of the new series of forklift. Ho-Qian organized the trial driving of the new products for the guests to experience the quality and strong power of the new forklifts.

The launch conference was circled around the Z series IC forklifts which were designed and manufactured by Toyota specifically according to the features of Chinese market. Ueda, General Manager of TMHS made a speech on the conference, showing his appreciation towards the efforts of Shanghai Ho-Qian during these years and sincerely expressing the hope to the development in the future. Then, Ueda and Li Ruizhong, General Manager of Shanghai Ho-Qian, took part in the ceremony of uncovering the new forklifts. The whole conference site was shining under the glorious fireworks, and all the guests witnessed this commemorative moment.

According to the introduction of Mr. Li, Shanghai Ho-Qian Logistics Equipment Trading Co., Ltd. was the sole-funded forklift business branch of Taiwan Hotai Motor Co., Ltd. As a listed company in Taiwan area, Hotai Motor developed well in the circumjacent fields of automotives including automotive sales, after sales service, accessories, automotive rental, etc. since the establishment in 1947.

Since the company acquired Sweden forklift manufacture BT in 2001, Toyota have been ranked the world's No. 1 forklift manufacturer in terms of forklift sales for successive nine years.  As another range of new products, Z series forklifts are the first product in the world designed and manufactured especially according to the specific conditions in one country, which was a sign that Toyota regarded highly of the logistics market in China.

The core parts of Toyota Z series IC forklifts, such as the engine, transmission, control valve and hydraulic parts are all directly from Japan, which not only realize the standardized configuration of the forklift, but also ensure that the newly launched forklifts would never fall behind the well-received Toyota 8 series in terms of product quality and operation safety.

It is informed that Z series IC forklifts have been popular with continuous inquiry telephone calls from all around China. Based on Z series IC forklifts, Toyota is on the way to practically implement their promise of serving more closely to more Chinese customers.

Since the official launch onto the market on July 9th, Toyota confidently brought their new product to begin their tour in China for more forklift users.
