Leaving Chongqing stop, Toyota Material Handling (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (TMHS) continued their tour of introducing the newly launched Z series IC forklift in Shanghai as the second stop. Shanghai has been the sales headquarter for Toyota forklifts since the brand entered China in 2003. In addition, Toyota owns two Provincial-level dealers in Shanghai area mainly in charge of distributing the equipments.
The communication conference at Shanghai Minhang stop was co-organized by UMW Industrial Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. and Toyota Material Handling (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.
More than a hundred of people attended the conference, including Ueda, the General Manager from Toyota Material Handling (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.; Chen Lailin, the General Manager from UMW Industrial Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.; Wang Wei, Manager of Sales Department from Toyota Material Handling (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.; superiors from the parent company—Toyota Industrial Corporation; customers of Toyota forklifts and other guests.
General Manager Ueda from Toyota (Shanghai) gave a speech on the conference, showing his appreciation to all the guests with respect to their support of Toyota forklifts for so many years. During the speech, he expressed the determination to carry out the market strategy of localization and further to expand the middle and high end markets in the field of forklift industry in China through introducing Z series IC forklifts. In the future, according to Ueda's words, Toyota would have more sales activities and establish sales and distribution network in a broader and steadier way so as to construct a more safe, convenient and satisfactory environment of operating forklifts for all the users.
Then Chen Lailin, General Manager from UMW Industrial Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., made his address. He said that more and more famous enterprises at home and abroad would have known and recognized Toyota as well as UMW in the coming future relying on the outstanding performance of Toyota forklifts and excellent services provided by UMW. After Director Li of Planning Department from Toyota Material Handling (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. elaborated the details about each item of performance of the new forklifts, the guests enjoyed the glorious performance and on-spot demonstration of Z series IC forklifts and 8 series IC forklifts, witnessing the outstanding performance and state-of-art technology of Toyota forklifts.
Moreover, Toyota also set a trial drive zone on the site, offering an opportunity for the interested guests to drive the Z series and 8 series forklifts themselves so as to experience the strong power of original engines installed on Toyota forklifts. Some of the guests told the media that the addition of Z series into Toyota family would lengthen the internal combustion forklift lines of Toyota in terms of sales in China area, which not only could reinforce the position of Toyota in China, but also enable the Chinese customers to get closer to the high quality products from Toyota.
Since the company acquired Sweden forklift manufacture BT in 2001, Toyota have been ranked the world's No. 1 forklift manufacturer in terms of forklift sales for successive nine years. As another range of new products, Z series forklifts are the first product in the world designed and manufactured especially according to the specific conditions in one country, which was a sign that Toyota regarded highly of the logistics market in China.
The core parts of Toyota Z series IC forklifts, such as the engine, transmission, control valve and hydraulic parts are all directly from Japan, which not only realize the standardized configuration of the forklift, but also ensure that the newly launched forklifts would never fall behind the well-received Toyota 8 series in terms of product quality and operation safety.
It is informed that Z series IC forklifts have been popular with continuous inquiry telephone calls from all around China. Based on Z series IC forklifts, Toyota is on the way to practically implement their promise of serving more closely to more Chinese customers.
Since the official launch onto the market on July 9th, Toyota confidently brought their new products to begin their tour in China for more forklift users.
