McConnellsburg, Pa. (October 26, 2010) — JLG Industries, Inc., an Oshkosh Corporation company [NYSE:OSK], will showcase its LiftPod® personal portable lift at JLG booth # 1035 during the International Facility Manager’s Association’s (IFMA) World Workplace 2010 Conference & Expo, which will be held Oct. 27-29 at the Georgia World Conference Center in Atlanta, Georgia. IFMA – celebrating its 30th anniversary – is the world’s largest and most widely recognized international association for professional facility managers, supporting more than 19,000 members in 78 countries.
“We are happy to showcase LiftPod at this year’s IFMA World Workplace 2010 Conference & Expo, as it addresses important concerns of facility mangers who are challenged to enforce safety when working at heights,” said Randy Marzicola, director – channel development, JLG Industries. “JLG’s LiftPod meets this need, enabling workers to perform their jobs efficiently and more productively, all at a low total cost of ownership.”
LiftPod, a line of aerial work platforms, combines the portability of a ladder with the stability of a work platform. Show attendees are invited to visit JLG’s booth to see a demonstration and ask additional questions.
With an enclosed platform and 14-foot working height, the LiftPod allows workers to move hands-free in a 360-degree range of motion. It consists of three lightweight components, each weighing about 50 pounds, for simple assembly or disassembly in less then 30 seconds. The LiftPod can be carried and moved by one person. When disassembled, the LiftPod fits in the back of a pick-up truck, van or SUV for ease of portability between work sites.
The LiftPod is powered by a common 18 volt drill or an optional power pack for increased flexibility and affordability, and includes an attachable work tray that holds up to 35 pounds of tools and materials.
IFMA’s World Workplace 2010 Conference & Expo attracts professionals from various areas of the work environment, including facility management, real estate, information technology, human resources, engineering, architecture, design, security and other related industries.
