Keytroller, LLC Announces SMARTEST
Dual Video Drive Recorder with GPS
A leader OEM in the safety technology industry, Keytroller, LLC unveils its upgraded solution to the rising automotive accidents and fatalities caused by cell phone distractions. Additionally, this same device secures protection from false automotive accusations and tampering prevention of the memory card with an optional lockable box to prevent unauthorized access to the SD card and video event logs.

TAMPA, FL, October 20, 2010—Keytroller, LLC introduces the SMARTEST; a simple, inexpensive and easy to install dual video drive camera system that can potentially save a company millions by protecting it from false claims and accusations with regard to accidents that company vehicles are involved in. The SMARTEST provides immediate video proof of what happened before and after an accident unfolded. Companies are also discovering unique uses for this dual video drive recorder in applications like forklifts and cranes and in prototype evaluation of equipment from the driver’s perspective and response.

SMARTEST is a forward and rearward looking video recorder. It continually records digital video whenever the vehicle's ignition is on, then overwrites the oldest video when the memory card is full. All software is preloaded to the devices SD card which records both camera’s video, audio, GPS location, speed, direction and G-force movement. The device can handle up to 32GB SD card which will record approximately 24 hours of continuous video. In addition, it records individual video events triggered by impact, fast acceleration or fast deceleration (heavy braking), these G-force events are saved until deleted by the user. Events are time/date stamped and records from 1- 3 minutes before and 1- 3 minutes after an event is triggered. There is an IR illuminator for recording inside the driver's cabin at night. An optional LCD display is available with an external rear mounted camera (model 3311), creating a back-p camera that can both aid the driver and record events.
