In autumn 2010, Design Forum Finland will stage a design export initiative at the Tokyo Designers Week - Hirameki Design × Finland - which will present the Japanese public with a fresh and multifaceted image of Finnish design. The exhibition will cluster the full repertoire of Finnish design, from technological innovations to individual designers, around a series of scintillating themes.

Rocla will be presenting its internationally awarded product design at this event from 29th of October to 7th of November 2010. At Hirameki 20 Finnish companies, 34 designers and 7 design offices will showcase their innovative design. The venue of the exhibition is Living Design Center Ozone located in the Shinjuku area. The patron of the initiative is Stefan Wallin, Finland's Minister of Culture and Sport. Rocla was invited as the only Finnish design company to accompany Mr. Wallin’s previous visit in 2009 to Tokyo, when planning for Hirameki was underway.  

Rocla’s design manager, Mr. Kero Uusitalo will participate Hirameki event: “This is a great opportunity to showcase Finnish design know-how broadly to Japanese industry, consumers and general public as well as both Japanese and Finnish media. Although many people associate Finnish design more with consumer goods, we are honored to be able to show our expertise in industrial design and Rocla’s warehouse trucks as design objects. Rocla’s awarded products, like Rapid low level order picker and automated warehouse truck AWT, are excellent examples of industrial design where design and usability increase customers’ logistics performance.”
