HOUSTON (August 10, 2010) - In preparation for the 2010 hurricane season, Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks of Houston recently trained employees and volunteers of the American Red Cross (ARC) Greater Houston Chapter in forklift operation in order to assist in a more efficient process for distribution of supplies during an emergency.

In 2008, Hurricane Ike relief response was slowed because trailers and supplies were unloaded by hand, but with the new training, the American Red Cross plans to use forklift trucks to increase efficiency and increase the organization's response time.
