BROOKFIELD, WI — Otto J. Wolter, CEO of Wisconsin Lift Truck Corp. has announced that it has acquired Witco Systems Inc. Witco Systems Inc. is a 61-year-old full service material handling dealership headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with service operations in Madison and Manitowoc, Wisconsin.
“The benefits for our customers are numerous. Wisconsin Lift Truck Corp. will have more technicians – over 140 – located closer to our customers throughout the state. The number of line items on the shelf in our parts inventory will increase. Our rental fleet will grow to over 600 units, and our product offerings will increase to provide more alternatives to meet our customers’ unique requirements,” said Jerry Weidmann, president of Wisconsin Lift Truck Corp.
The former WITCO Systems executive management team of Elmer Grichtmeier, vice president and general manager, Greg Grichtmeier, vice president of sales and Rick Bare, vice president and chief financial officer will join Wisconsin Lift Truck Corp in new positions.
Wisconsin Lift Truck Corp., one of Wisconsin’s largest privately held firms, is a 48-year-old, full service material handling distributor with over 270 employees at its headquarters in Brookfield, Wisconsin, its branches in Germantown, Green Bay, Janesville and Wausau and its business partners. Those partners include Wolter Power Systems, which specializes in new industrial engines and generator sales; Wolter Material Handling offering sales, new and used, parts, service and rentals of lift trucks in the western region of Wisconsin; and Contractor Equipment Services, which offers new and used sales, service, parts and rentals of construction and aerial equipment and sweepers and scrubbers.
