It was 18 years ago that Xiamen XGMA Machinery Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as XGMA) sent its construction products in the course of Antarctic expedition. Recently, XGMA donated their forklifts again to give a favor to the Arctic scientific expedition, making contributions to the polar investigation and research of China mainland.

On June 29^th, XGMA held a ceremony for the donation of purposely-manufactured products to China’s Arctic scientific expedition. It has been the fourth time for XGMA to donate products to the expedition, and on the ceremony the President of XGMA Cai Kuiquan delivered the key of a forklift branded as XGMA to Shen Quan, the captain of MV XUELONG of Polar Research Institute of China.

“At the time when the Arctic scientific expedition cruise will take off from Xiamen for the fourth time, we again receive the selfless assistance from Xiamen XGMA Machinery Co., Ltd.,” said Qu Tanzhou, the director of the Polar Expedition Office State Oceanic Administration People's Republic of China,”XGMA has kept a close relationship with the course of polar scientific expedition, and we have grew deep friendship with each other. As an active participant and supporter of polar scientific expedition, XGMA sent its products to the harsh environment in Antarctic and Arctic areas, which is also a sign to show that our made-in China products are of perfect build quality and operational performance to stand with almost all kinds of application environment.”　

Since 1992 to present time, there were totally eleven sets of machineries from XGMA to enter Antarctica, including loaders, excavators and forklifts, which became the only branded construction machinery in the two Antarctica scientific expedition stations of China—Great Wall station and Zhongshan station respectively. Nowadays, these 11 sets of XGMA machines are still in service in Antarctica area and two mechanical engineers from XGMA are also in the expedition site to assist the scientific research. The machinery products from XGMA have been the solely-used products for Antarctic scientific research, which will continue to play crucial roles in the expedition course in the future.”

This time XGMA donated one XGMA XGDC525 battery forklift to the Arctic scientific research expedition team. Such battery forklift was among the new products self-developed, manufactured in XGMA, which had obtained patent for its energy saving feature. This forklift will definitely become the ideal equipment for the scientific research and expedition.  

Cai Kuiquan, the President of XGMA, also said on the ceremony that XGMA had now been the largest manufacturing base for construction machinery in China. During the first half of 2010, XGMA had achieved great accomplishments in terms of production, sales, service, management, technological innovation and so on. XGMA has a brighter tomorrow and will go further in the future.
