Hyundai Heavy Industries’ (HHI) 9 series excavators and wheel loaders drew positive responses from its European customers.
HHI’s Dutch dealer Jan Nolles said Hyundai Heavy’s 9 series excavators were gaining popularity with clients at Technical Contact Days (TKD) held in the Netherlands from May 29 - May 31 thanks to the aesthetic exterior and smooth hydraulic system.
On the same day, Mr. Michel de Weert, a sales manager at HHI Belgium said in an email that the Belgian operation was being flooded with orders for the newly released 9 series excavators and he also appreciated Hyundai Heavy’s employees’ hard work.
Thanks to these features among others, sales of 9 series excavators and wheel loaders soared 172% from a year earlier.
The 9 series excavators feature the latest Cummins QSB six-cylinder diesel engine, meeting EU Stage III A emission requirements. The new excavator also has an auto boom-swing priority, a smart function that automatically and continuously finds the ideal hydraulic flow balance for the boom and swing motions of the machine in real time.
The 9 series wheel loaders feature Boom and Bucket Auto Positioning System, Diagnostic System and Weighting System. The Boom and Bucket Auto Positioning System enables operators to easily control a bucket and a boom. The new models also have Diagnostic System that helps operators fix possible malfunctions and a Weighing System that automatically measures is the weight of the load and adjusts engine functions accordingly. With an environmentally friendly engine meeting TIER-3 international emission regulations, the new wheel loaders are designed to reduce emissions such as carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides and fine dust, and to improve engine output and performance.
