Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) participated in Automatica 2010 in Munich from June 6 to June 11.
Automatica is one of the robot industry’s biggest fairs. This year’s fair saw participants from world-class robot manufacturers, parts suppliers, and robot engineering companies.
HHI showcased four kinds of robot models named HS165, HP160, HA020 and HA010L. HHI demonstrated a vision sensing robot system with an analyzing controller, and special software. This vision robot system throws two dice, recognizes the sum of the two numbers, and then picks and shows the number to the visitors. HHI’s display also featured audio visual material relating to its accumulated robot application know-how.
HHI received many enquiries from visitors and several European companies and a Russian company expressed interest in distributing HHI robots in their respective countries.
HHI has been in the robot business for 25 years in spot welding, arc welding, handling, palletizing, sealing and other related duties. HHI has the full line-up of the robot series from 6 kg to 400 kg class capacity for all industrial fields. The company's sales target for this year is set to reach 3000 units.
Along with robots, HHI is also a turn-key supplier of peripheral systems. This is a core competence that makes HHI more competitive than other robot manufacturers.
Hyundai Motor’s Czech Republic factory and Kia Motor’s Slovakia factory are a good example of turn-key supply of robots and peripheral systems by HHI and a testament to HHI’s reputation.
