Hyundai Heavy Industries is introducing its transformers, gas insulated switchgears and solar modules at the Power & Electricity World Africa 2010 in Johannesburg, South Africa. The exhibition is held from March 16 to 17.

Hyundai Heavy’s Electro Electric Systems Division is exhibiting the model of an 800kV substation with a gas insulated switchgear and two transformers. It is also showing solar modules in this exhibition.

The division prepared soccer balls as presents for its visitors to tie-in with the World Cup 2010 to be held in South Africa in June.

Hyundai Heavy expects to expand market share in Africa through the exhibition after taking a US$250 million order for high voltage transformers from South Africa's state-owned electricity utility Eskom Holdings in 2009.
