Hunan Sunward Intelligent Machinery Co., Ltd. (Sunward for short) had a successful start of operation at the beginning of the year 2010. The first phase of Sunward’s Third Industrial Park, known as the Forklift Industrial Park, of which the capacity was expected to be 30,000 sets of forklifts annually was put into production. This meant that the production capacity of forklifts in Sunward would have a substantial improvement, which would fasten the pace of Sunward to enter industrial vehicle market.  

On December 25^th, 2009, Hu’nan Provincial Committee Member of Chinese Communist Party and Secretary, Changsha Municipal Committee of Chinese Communist Party Chen Run’er, Vice-Secretary, Municipal Committee of Chinese Communist Party and Mayor of Changsha Zhang Jianfei conducted on-the-spot investigation to Sunward’s Third Industrial Park, giving high praise to Sunward to invest such a great sum on constructing forklift industrial park against the background of global financial crisis. They appreciated that Sunward actively turned to the Provincial and Municipal governments during the project constructions and cooperated closely to the team which aimed at supporting the development of enterprises and  the project construction, improving people’ life and economic increase, which obtained obvious effect in the development course. Changsha Municipal Party Committee and Government would proceed to support the development of Sunward in the future.

Faced with the fierce market competition, Sunward positioned their forklift precuts toward high-end market. They owned professional research and development team, starting from internal combustion forklifts to enter forklift market quickly. Sunward had self-developed 8 series and more than 50 categories of forklifts and realized export by batches. The forklifts persisted in the design concept and lean manufacturing, making use of the advantages lying in integrated central control box, one-piece overhead guard, self-produced high quality hydraulic cylinder and Euro III YANMA engine to occupy a steady position on domestic and international market with a prospective development momentum.

With total investment of RMB 350 million Yuan and an area of 242 Mu, Sunward’s Third Industrial Park was capable to produce 30,000 sets of forklifts in a year. After put into production in an all round way, the value of output would reach RMB 2.4 billion Yuan. The successful operation of the first phase construction left sound guarantee to the fast development in the coming days. Under the environment of global financial crisis from 2008 to 2009, Sunward kept relatively higher increase ratio, especially on aspects of interests and taxes. As the key strategic products in Sunward, the forklifts had a bright prospect in terms of sales in 2010, based on the complete infrastructure, state-of-art technology R&D team, reliable quality system and strong sales and after-sales service.
