Jungheinrich already offers rack inspections in a number of European countries. These inspections are carried out by specially trained rack inspectors during normal warehouse operations. The inspections include checking for obvious defects as well as verifying adherence to approved load limits as well as the relevant rules and safety measures. According to Harder, the following rack types are subject to routine inspection: pallet racks, cantilever racks, drive-in and drive-through racks as well as gravity flow racks, multi-storey systems and small parts shelvings.
By now Jungheinrich has conducted a large number of rack inspections, and continues to train new rack inspectors in response to the strong growth in demand. Currently Jungheinrich has a total of some 40 certified rack inspectors across
