AUSA’s participation in Intermat 2009 was highly successful. With a stand that attracted many visitors and customers, the company made several sales right at the Fair and established numerous business contacts with potential customers.
The D 250 AHGA articulated rotating dumper and the new Taurulift T 276 H telescopic forklift were launched at the event, where they obtained an outstanding response from distributors and rental companies from around the world. The multi-service product line, now more complete than ever, captured much of the attention at the Trade Fair.
In spite of the difficulties being faced by the sector, AUSA has once again demonstrated its fundamental strength by attending Intermat 2009, one of the world’s largest trade fairs in the sector, which drew to a close in
The Exhibition obtained better results than expected, maintaining levels comparable to the previous 2006 edition. According to the initial estimates made by the show’s organizers, the number of visitors was between 180,000 and 200,000, only slightly lower than the last event (209,032), with 45% of the visitors coming from abroad. The number of exhibitors was somewhat higher, reaching a total of 1,380, of which 900 were international, representing 65% of the total.
AUSA took advantage of the event to launch two of its newest products internationally: the

Louis De Mecquenem, Director of AUSA France, expressed his satisfaction with the results achieved at the French Show, describing the 2009 edition of Intermat as “very good”. “We received visits from many customers. They were all extremely impressed by the AUSA display and with the exhibitions of vehicles such as the T 276 H and the D 250 AHGA.” He also pointed out that “products such as the C 500 H, the Task 50 Diesel and the M
The items to cause the greatest sensation among distributors and rental companies visiting the AUSA stand in search of innovative products and new market trends were: the T 204 H models, due to their powerful and modern design, reduced width and innovative concept in folding cabs; the 250 AHGA dumper, the first AUSA model with lateral hi-tipping and the versatile M
Intermat is traditionally used as a barometer to measure the health of the sector and reveal new market trends. At this event, in addition to the massive presence of Chinese construction companies, it is important to point out the international nature of the exhibition, with a large attendance of customers from emerging countries, which are less affected than others by the economic slowdown, such as Saudi Arabia, the Maghreb countries, Sub-Saharan Africa, China, India and Brazil. Josep Soler, AUSA Export Manager, witnessed this phenomenon in person and affirms: “The large turnout of visitors from the Maghreb countries has been remarkable. They see how their economies are beginning to open up and have taken advantage of the Intermat showcase to seek out commercial partners”.
Louis De Mecquenem summarizes his impression of the event in this manner: “Our presence at Intermat has allowed us to obtain several purchase orders, which is quite unusual at French trade shows. Even more importantly, the event will allow us to sell more machines in the weeks to come. In these difficult times, our participation at Intermat 2009 has, without a doubt, been the best possible channel of dissemination.”
