AUSA’s participation in Intermat 2009 was highly successful. With a stand that attracted many visitors and customers, the company made several sales right at the Fair and established numerous business contacts with potential customers.

The D 250 AHGA articulated rotating dumper and the new Taurulift T 276 H telescopic forklift were launched at the event, where they obtained an outstanding response from distributors and rental companies from around the world. The multi-service product line, now more complete than ever, captured much of the attention at the Trade Fair.

In spite of the difficulties being faced by the sector, AUSA has once again demonstrated its fundamental strength by attending Intermat 2009, one of the world’s largest trade fairs in the sector, which drew to a close in Paris this past April 25th.

The Exhibition obtained better results than expected, maintaining levels comparable to the previous 2006 edition. According to the initial estimates made by the show’s organizers, the number of visitors was between 180,000 and 200,000, only slightly lower than the last event (209,032), with 45% of the visitors coming from abroad. The number of exhibitors was somewhat higher, reaching a total of 1,380, of which 900 were international, representing 65% of the total.

AUSA took advantage of the event to launch two of its newest products internationally: the 2,500 kg D 250 AHGA rotating articulated dumper and the new Taurulift T 276 H telescopic forklift, both of which received an enthusiastic response from the professional visitors.

The AUSA brand enjoys wide recognition in France, where it holds a dominant position in the dumper sector, with a market share of nearly 80%, and is in second place with respect to forklifts. Currently the company is immersed in launching its multi-service line in France, a product range that also stirred up much expectation at Intermat, contributing to AUSA’s success at the Show.

Louis De Mecquenem, Director of AUSA France, expressed his satisfaction with the results achieved at the French Show, describing the 2009 edition of Intermat as “very good”. “We received visits from many customers. They were all extremely impressed by the AUSA display and with the exhibitions of vehicles such as the T 276 H and the D 250 AHGA.” He also pointed out that “products such as the C 500 H, the Task 50 Diesel and the M 250 M with an elevator basket, which many people were not yet familiar with, also met with great success“.

The items to cause the greatest sensation among distributors and rental companies visiting the AUSA stand in search of innovative products and new market trends were: the T 204 H models, due to their powerful and modern design, reduced width and innovative concept in folding cabs; the 250 AHGA dumper, the first AUSA model with lateral hi-tipping and the versatile M 250M dumper and tool carrier.

Intermat is traditionally used as a barometer to measure the health of the sector and reveal new market trends. At this event, in addition to the massive presence of Chinese construction companies, it is important to point out the international nature of the exhibition, with a large attendance of customers from emerging countries, which are less affected than others by the economic slowdown, such as Saudi Arabia, the Maghreb countries, Sub-Saharan Africa, China, India and Brazil. Josep Soler, AUSA Export Manager, witnessed this phenomenon in person and affirms: “The large turnout of visitors from the Maghreb countries has been remarkable. They see how their economies are beginning to open up and have taken advantage of the Intermat showcase to seek out commercial partners”.

Louis De Mecquenem summarizes his impression of the event in this manner: “Our presence at Intermat has allowed us to obtain several purchase orders, which is quite unusual at French trade shows. Even more importantly, the event will allow us to sell more machines in the weeks to come. In these difficult times, our participation at Intermat 2009 has, without a doubt, been the best possible channel of dissemination.”

The D 250 AHGA Dumper and the T 276 H Taurulift; the main Attractions

The new D 250 AHGA dumper, with a load capacity of 2,500 kg, is a top-of-the-line machine with high quality features, in terms of equipment, power and mechanics, which distinguish it from competitors. It features 180º rotating hi-tip unloading up to a height of 1.8 meters, which makes loading and unloading much easier and increases productivity. A stable, highly maneuverable, powerful and safe machine, it is well suited to working in difficult spaces and in all types of situations. Its low hopper and 2,063 liter capacity make it the ideal equipment to be used for a myriad of urban tasks and renovation work, as it is fully compatible with the small equipment generally used for this purpose, such as mini-diggers and trucks. Thanks to its unique configuration and geometry, it is one of the most stable machines on the market, and it also incorporates a weight limit load safety system that enhances safety and guarantees stability at all times.

The new Taurulift T 276H telescopic forklift, with a load capacity of 2,700 kg at a height of 6.1 meters, is an all-terrain compact machine with a telescopic arm, folding cabin and hydrostatic transmission. Powered by an 84.7 CV Kubota Turbo Diesel V3600T engine, its permanent four-wheel drive allows it to overcome all kinds of obstacle, reaching speeds of 24 km/h and climbing grades of up to 45%. It comes equipped with very complete standard equipment and incorporates the strictest safety measures, including a ROPS/FOPS cab, anti-vandal security system, joystick for control of all operations, safety belt and audible reverse warning system, etc. In addition, it can be fitted with any of the tools used on compact skid steer loaders, thanks to its Multi-Tach system.
