Perkins Engines has collected the ‘Workplace Development’ award at this year’s Peterborough Evening Telegraph business awards.

The company beat off strong competition from Marshall Motor Group and Greenstones; to collect the coveted award that recognised Perkins’ continued investment in its employees.

Television presenter and radio broadcaster Jeremy Vine presented the award to Perkins' representatives, who were delighted to accept the trophy and certificate on behalf of the company.

Operations director Allan Arnott thanked Perkins’ employees for their contribution towards the award, and added: “We’re delighted to receive the award for workforce development as we take the training and development of our employees very seriously.

“The opening of the Learning Centre earlier this year allows us to keep that learning advantage and ensure we have a highly skilled workforce.”
