Recently, the release conference of China 2008 Machinery Top 500 was held in the Great Hall of People. Yuchai Group ranked to be No.22 among the Top 500, 2 spots forward than last year.

The election of China 2008 Machinery Top 500 was sponsored by China Machinery Enterprise Management Association (CMMA) and undertaken by World Executive Weekly, World Company Lab and Institute of Machinery Industry Economic Management. China Machinery Top 500 referred to the general international way to make comprehensive analysis on corporation data by using CVA model designed in compliance with international convention, and finally defined China Machinery Top 500 combined the factors such as industry differences and media index.

Under the guidance of Green Development and Harmonious Win-win as the core concept, Yuchai Group realized sales income of RMB 18.35 billion Yuan and sold 500,000 sets of diesel engines in 2007, ranking the first in China for successive 7 years and leading the world in terms of production and sales as one single company.  

In 2008, the engine industry in China will keep stable increasing tendency with the fast growth of vehicle industry, and the gap between production of autos and engines will also remain. In the first half year of 2008, Yuchai Group accomplished sales income of RMB 12.38 billion Yuan with a year-on-year increase of 38.85% while production and sales of diesel engines reached 348,000 sets with a year-on-year of 32.76%. Besides diesel engines, Yuchai Group also gained great development in the business modules such as construction machinery, special auto, lubrication chemicals, auto parts and trade logistics.
